Data we collect
The calculators run in your browser. We do not receive, store or have access to any salary, savings or other figures you enter on our servers.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to collect privacy-friendly, aggregated usage statistics (such as which pages are visited, country and device type, and anonymous events like a PDF download). It does not use cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect any personally identifiable information. We also use Vercel Speed Insights to measure how quickly pages load.
Calculators keep your inputs in the page address so that results can be shared as a link. Before anything is sent to analytics, we remove those figures from the address, so analytics only records which page was visited — never your salary, rent, savings or household details. Site search is counted too (which page was chosen, or that nothing was found), but never what was typed.
To switch analytics off in your browser, add ?analytics=off to any page address (for example paycalcuk.co.uk/?analytics=off). This stores a small setting in your browser rather than a cookie; ?analytics=on switches it back on.
Saved data and local storage
Salary profile details, favourite calculators, recent calculations and saved scenarios are stored locally in your browser on this device. They are not sent to our servers and we cannot access them. You can remove them at any time from My PayCalc or by clearing your browser data.
Cookies
We do not set any tracking or advertising cookies. Our analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) runs without storing cookies on your device, so no cookie consent banner is needed. Only essential cookies required for the site to function may be used.
